Black teas have complexity and intensity of flavour. There are plenty of black teas around. However, we have brought you one of our favourites direct from Yunnan, the famous Yunnan Black Tea. It is so sweet and fragrant.

This famous black tea of Yunnan is naturally sweet and smooth with a touch of earthiness. Composed of only the highest quality leaves and buds, expertly rolled into a large pearl like shape. A few black dragon pearls will be able to allow a deep tasting, rich infusion which tea lovers desire.

Great on its own or with milk. Can also be served chilled or hot.


Brewing techniques:  

Infuse: 1-2 tsp per cup; use boiling water; infuse 3 minutes

This famous lapsang souchong black tea is rich, excitingly pungent, full of the rounded smoky notes. Complex and teasing with a hazel-sweet freshness behind the supple smoke. The leaves are traditionally smoke-dried over pinewood fires thus giving it a distinctive smoky taste and aroma. Ideal as a sophisticated after dinner tea.

Originating from rich soiled Yunnan, Golden Monkey is a delicious chinese black tea with abundance of lovely baby tea buds. Strong and full bodied, it is easily identified by its overwhelming caramel and subtle black pepper flavours. Its underlying sweetness also goes well with a late afternoon slice of cheese cake or creme brulee. This tea is considered to be the white teas amongst the black teas of China, due to its delicate sweetness.

When steeped, the golden down covered buds of Yunnan Golden Monkey black tea develop into a brew with an auburn sheen.

Keemun Gong Fu Black Tea
Keemun Black Tea (Qimen)

Known as the China Breakfast tea, Keemun black tea has a distinctive fruity taste with just a hint of floweriness. The leaves are rolled into thin needle shapes with a red tint in them. This tea is good with milk and sugar or on its own. Excellent breakfast tea, one of original chinese tributes to British Empire.
