Meng Ding Huang Ya (Yellow Tea)
White teas originate from Fuding, China. It has an exceedingly sweet flavour and soft texture without the vegetal quality of green tea.  Moreover, they are refreshing, thirst-quenching and gentle on the palate.

Silver Needle White Tea is considered the rarest and most famous Chinese white tea. They are composed entirely of individual buds and handpicked in early Spring. They are also known to have the highest amount of antioxidants amongst the teas.

This is one of our favourites, where we use it often for celebrations. Another top quality tea that we have here is the famous yellow tea, Meng Ding Huang Ya that is composed of tender buds. Yellow Teas  falls in the category between the green and the white tea. Its flavour is sweet, with a slight vegetal quality of green tea. Excellent source of antioxidants too.

White Peony White Tea (Bai Mu Dan)
Our Price: $14.99

Bai Mu Dan's name is derived from its shape of the leaves. Its one bud & two leaves is left in its original shape without without the kneading and shaping usually involved in making a green tea.. As other white teas, Bai Mu Dan undergoes a slow sun drying process which can take as long as forty hours to complete.

Unlike Silver Needle, the raw leaves of Bai Mu Dan are heaped into a short pile for this drying process. The sun withered leaves are roasted dry at a low temperature, sometimes with charcoal though more often with electrical heating elements. This good quality tea yields many apricot coloured infusions with a rich flavour noticeably fruitier than Silver Needle.

Our White Peony white tea does not have the grassy taste of green tea and it is a good source of antioxidants. Due to the natural process including slow ambient drying, this tea is generally soothing and is gentle on weak stomach.

Based on a 50gm pack, one could have around 50 cups (based on 3g per serving, infused 3 times)
